Recording and updating VGM

The VGM can be recorded in N4 in several ways:

• By way of the following EDI messages:

• Inbound: BAPLIE, COPRAR Load and Discharge, COPARN, VERMAS, 301, 322

• Outbound: BAPLIE, CODECO, COARRI, 322

• Through the following N4 forms:

• Update Verified Gross Mass form

• Pre-advise Export Container form

• Add Stow Plan

• Add Line LoadList

• Add Line DischargeList

• Through Gate Transactions like Receive Export.

Note that the VGM is always in kilograms.

For security, only users with the Units Actions - Update Verified Gross Mass privilege can manually update the VGM.
